I'M AN IMMIGRANT TO AMERICA. I was born in Switzerland, one of the most beautiful countries in the world. I ended up in the US by way of England and Canada. My dad was a Brit and Mom was Swiss-American. So over my lifetime I've been like a citizen of four different countries. As citizens we learn to love our countries like an extended part of our own families. We love them enough to protect them and, if necessary, to defend them with our lives. Over the centuries, millions of people have died to protect their countries.
ALL COUNTRIES ARE SPECIAL IN THEIR OWN WAYS and with its Alps and lakes, Switzerland is considered one of the most beautiful countries in the world. But in America we have the American Alps, the spectacular North Cascade mountain range that stretched from Northern California into British Columbia. America also has vast plains, deserts, spectacular coastlines and sandy beaches. Yosemite, giant Sequoias and redwoods, America in my mind is the most beautiful country in the world.

AMERICA IS ALSO HOME TO A SPECIAL EVENT - DEMOCRACY WITH A BILL OF RIGHTS FOR CITIZENS AND CONSTITUTION FOR ITS GOVERNMENT.
BEAUTIFUL AMERICA WAS LIKE A BLANK SHEET OF PAPER when Europeans arrived. Not only did they have to conquer and settle a vast country, they wanted to live in a system free of Kings and Queens. in the revolutionary war, many Americans died to earn their liberty from England.

Since then, other battles and wars have tested American resolve. And while Americans have made a lot of mistakes and still have a long road ahead to achieve the dream of a 'perfect union', America istelf is always the same, always the most beautiful country in the world.

Millions have died to protect her, and millions would today if they had to.

REGARDLESS OF THE MISTAKES WE MAKE, AMERICA NEVER CHANGES EXCEPT WHEN WE HURT HER BODY BY WHAT WE DO FROM OUR NEGLECT.
LET'S ALL LOVE HER FOR WHAT SHE IS - THE
BEAUTIFUL HOME IN WHICH WE LIVE.
